  • If the US expeiriences another depression like we did in the 30s, how would the world economies react.  I believe that it would lead to a world wide market collapse.  Would it lead to an end of our debts or would it add to them?  I think it would have to alleviate our debts because all markets would basically become null and our debt would loose almost all value.  I feel that the economic crisis would eventually even out as each country fell into a depression and when each country emerged the world order would be rewritten and have a new order of importance.
  •  Is the world heading toward total economic collapse?  It may be hard to predict what we would call a collapse but the world's economy is having its difficulties.  War is becoming more prevelant and the reasons are more of necesity then ever in history.  The pirates are making a comeback in the indian ocean.  What are we to think when piracy is a favorable alternative to any normal job in the home country?  1st that the economy of that country is doing quit poorly.  2nd that the trade routes are doing a lot of business as each country starts to run low on its own natural reasource.  This could be read in such a way as to predict the return to colonialism and a few master countries.  Which ones?  If that is the case will that in turn lead to more and more large wars?  I am refering to ones comparable to WW1 and WW2.

  • How would the economy have to change in order for us to completly rule out gasoline consumption as a means of energy or anything else-no more petrolium products.   I saw there will have to be none left anywhere before we do that because when you think about the uses we have for petrolium you have to wonder if anything as we know it will survive beyond the last barrel of crude oil.  How would the earth look today if oil had never been important?  Would the Middle East be anything at all?  Would we have electricity and airplains?  My answer would be no, I can see no way of creating and sustaining anything on any reasource that is more complex then petrolium, especially anything that cannot burn as well as gasoline.

  • Well, I am doing a paper on the logging industry and have a few ideas.  The logging companies have to deal with a lot due to all the regulations about keeping the environment healthy.  Should they?  I mean I have hiked a lot when I was growing up I am pretty sure that me walking down the trail was pretty disruptive to the wildlife.  Obviously i didnt cut down any trees but the loggers need an occupation and are only cutting the trees that they will use.  Should they also have to pay for protecting the wildlife or buying a more expesive method of retreiving the trees like a helicopter just so that they dont make a path to drive down?

  • People say smoking is a choice. But if you’re addicted to something, doesn’t that rule o

Nope you have a more difficult choice but it is still a choice,  haven't you heard of quiting?  No one claims its an easy choice but it is one.
